Just thought John would like to see how his comics look on my ereader. He has a digital minicomic for free up on his tumblr in a variety of different file types.

Damned youngsters with yer fancy-shmancy Kindles! Why, back in my day blah blah waffle drone…

Day 365 of my daily comic, scanned in full. FINALLY.

EDIT: Since Tumblr’s image viewer is shite, here’s a better look at said page: http://i.imgur.com/4kiN2.jpg

Thanks to the majorly talented artist that is Ty Dunitz, I now know that my ‘Choice Cuts’ book looks great on the Amazon Kindle E-reader (turns out the E-reader compatible version I uploaded yesterday wasn’t compatible with Kindles as I first thought). Here’s some photos he took of it in action on his device:

Sharp, no?

If you wish to download this version, you can get it here:

For various other formats (PDF, CBZ, etc.), check out my original post.

I have good news and I have bad news…

So.

So…

Bad news: I tried to get some copies of my ‘Choice Cuts’ mini-comic printed out today but to no avail, seeing as the print facilities in this backwater quaint town are godawful. As a result, I’ve been forced to put the print version of said comic on the back-burner for the next while.

Good news: I’ve also got a digital version put together and, as of tonight, you can download it for nuthin.’ That’s right! I’m literally giving these mothers away!

This digital version was meant to be a sort of ‘secret surprise’ to be revealed once I had the printed version done. For those of you who have been out of the loop, ‘Choice Cuts’ is basically a 28 page mini-comic that contains some of my personal favourite strips from my year of work on Daily Doodly.

I’ve got it available in three five flavours: PDF, CBZ, CBR, EPUB and MOBI. The PDF version should be compatible with your favourite smart phone, tablet device or kitchen sink. The CBZ and CBR files are there for those of you who wish to have access to a more ‘comic-y’ file format, for use in your favourite comic reader app. The EPUB version is for those of you that wish to be able to view this comic on an most E-reader devices, while the MOBI is geared specifically for the Amazon Kindle.

Whew…

So, think of this as a sort of early Christmas gift, as my thanks to you all for sticking by me over the past year! Feel free to distribute these files to your friends and family; all I ask is that you don’t edit the contents.

Anyhoo, enough of my yapping, enjoy!

Well…now that the daily comic is finished, it’s time for me to —
…
GODDAMNIT

GODDAMNIT

Here we go, the final page.Apologies for the crappy photo, I couldn’t scan this as I don’t have access to an A3 scanner at the moment (I did this page on A3 rather than the usual A4). My wrist hurts.

Yep.So, one day to go before I reach 365 days of doing this daily strip and I’m sure it’s fairly obvious that I have been running out of creative juice. I’ve been ‘humming and ha-ing’ over whether or not to continue the strip after day 365 and have come to the conclusion that to do so would be doing both me and you lot a disservice. I don’t want to be drawing comics just for the sake of doing so and I owe it to all of you who have been following my progress to start afresh. So, after day 365, I’m going to start focusing on doodles, sketches and pinups; which I will post here on a mostly daily basis. Doing a daily comic has been fun but I need to start doing something else, at least for a while. I hope you’ll stick around : )

To celebrate my acquisition of a cactus (JOYOUS DAY), I decided to do an homage to one of my favourite web-comics, ‘Garfield minus Garfield!’
